Description
This is Verner Panton first success. In manufacture and appearance the chair is very simple. It consists of a tubular steel frame with a slung seat of textile or suede leather. Designed in 1953. These are original production, manufactured by Fritz Hansen. These chairs were called “Bachelor” because they were designed for starter home but it also did well in the business sector. They were very easily disassembled into individual components. The “knock down” principle and its simple manufacture made it a competitive export product. The side section are N-shaped and linked by two intermediate struts.
